Paul Worley
Chief Creative Officer
Paul Worley was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in philosophy. While at Vanderbilt, he discovered that his only real vocational passion was music, and upon graduation he set out to make a career of it. He initially endeavored to get a record deal for his rock band, but before long, he settled in as a gofer and janitor at a small independent recording studio.

Over the next few years, he honed his artistry as a musician and singer and acquired the skills of a sound engineer. He worked with all genres of music and eventually began to produce records for a variety of artists including Marie Osmond and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. In the late 1980's, he was hired to run Tree Music Publishing, and during his time there, he made Tree the #1 Billboard, ASCAP, and BMI Publisher, where it remained for a decade. He later worked as the Executive VP of SONY Records in Nashville and there, he founded, produced, and developed the Dixie Chicks, who went on to sell 26 million records.
After his time at SONY, Paul was hired to be the head of A&R at Warner Brothers, Nashville. There, he helped guide the careers of Faith Hill, Michelle Branch, and Blake Shelton, and also went on to sign and produce the country group Big and Rich.
In 2004, Paul joined Wally Wilson at Skyline and currently, he is producing country break-through artists James Otto and Lady Antebellum. To date, he has produced 50 #1 radio hits, sold 100 million records, and generated over $1 billion in sales, and he continues to be one of the most successful producers and musicians on Music Row.

Growing up in Texas, he spent the majority of his time in country bars, and between that experience and reading voraciously he taught himself much of what there is to know about the history and the business of performing and creating popular songs. It was when he was touring with Gatemouth Brown and other blues performers as a piano player that he decided to head to Nashville, where he has lived and worked successfully for the past 23 years.
Upon arriving in Music City, Wally did everything he could to involve himself in the industry. He started at the bottom of the ladder and played piano at local bars and worked as a janitor at Sony Tree Publishing, but before long, he worked his way up and earned a full-time writing position at Tree Music. There, he wrote with a number of accomplished writers including Kix Brooks, Chris Waters, Tom Shapiro, Don Cook, Kevin Welch, and Gary Nicholson. He later ventured into the field of producing and worked with both Joan Baez and the country group Lonestar.
After working at Tree, Wally took executive jobs both at MCA and Dream Works Records, and in the midst of his time with these organizations, he realized that his greatest dream was to start a publishing company of his own. In the spring of 2003, Wally and famed producer Paul Worley (Martina McBride, Dixie Chicks), along with Texas attorney Glen Morgan, created Skyline Music Publishing. Since then, Skyline has created an impressive buzz around Nashville, garnering cuts for hit artists including Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire, Aaron Tippin, Terri Clark, and Lisa Brokop.
